Learning to scuba dive is a three part process:

Academics:
The first part is a scuba course that consists of classroom review/instruction.
In this course you learn the why and how of diving. This is where most of the work is done. In the classroom we teach you the basic theory of scuba diving and why we do what we do.

Pool Work:
Second part.Lets get wet! In the pool we teach you how to scuba dive and what to do if any issues occur. In other words, we train you to become a good and safe diver while having fun. If you need additional training, we will be happy to provide it to you at no additional charge.

Open Water Dives:

The third part is the Open Water Training. This part involves four supervised open water dives over two days in the springs or ocean ( Weather permiting ), where a certified instructor evaluates your skills in an actual diving environment. The purpose behind Open Water Training is to put everything you learned in the classroom and pool together. Your skills are evaluated, and you get a chance to further build your confidence, and experience diving in an actual environment. The total course lasts for 3-4 class sessions. Once you are done with your training, a certification card is issued to you.
The certification card is recognized worldwide and has no expiration date.
